Kindergarten Section

Meeting after a loooong holiday

Students at Kestrel Manor School are taught through a child-centred approach, whereby they learn by discovering, creating and risk-taking. A variety of different topics are combined and integrated to make learning more interesting and meaningful. The curriculum is consistent with the requirements of the British National Curriculum

While children spend most of their day with their class teacher, there are specialist teachers for Music, Physical Education and Swimming.

Playgroup consists of four classes ranging from 1 to 4 year olds. Reception class forms part of Kindergarten and prepares children for Primary School. Students range from the ages 4 to 5 years.

:: Curriculum

Kindergarten Section Our Kindergarten curriculum incorporates the development of gross and fine motor skills while fostering intellectual and cognitive development in each child. The Kindergarten provides an enriching environment for learning through play. Children develop their physical, social, emotional and creative aspects through this most natural activity.

Our curriculum is based on the U.K. 'Early Learning Goals' which helps children develop in the main areas of learning: language, mathematics, physical, social and personal development and the world around them.

We lay emphasis on Art, Music and Sports.
